Nutella received an unsatisfactory rating (6.0) from Öko-Test in its March issue. This was due, among other things, to the "significantly increased" amount of mineral oil that the consumer magazine found in Nutella. The saturated hydrocarbons MOSH/POSH accumulate in the body and can damage the liver. ❌

Anyone who enjoys a Nutella sandwich for breakfast has almost reached the industrial-strength sugar intake that, according to the WHO, one should consume throughout the day. And that's not even the main problem.

Synthetic vanillin: highest risk level: Artificially produced vanillin is also found in Nutella and is hazardous according to the "Advisory Committee for Environmentally Relevant Existing Substances" of the German Chemical Society. It is considered carcinogenic and is suspected of causing DNA damage and chromosome alterations.
