  • what is Muslim Fair Trade ?

 

  • Muslim Fair Trade means fair payment and a humane working atmosphere based on ethical principles.
  • Job creation measures for the needy in regions of poverty
  • No child labor & no exploitation.
  • Responsibility & awareness - with the purchase of each individual product you promote sales. The turnover makes it possible to finance new ideas and innovations. One of them is to offer alternatives. Alternatives to child labor, forced labor (example: Xinjiang - Uyghurs) and exploitation. For this, alternatives must be produced that the customer can access. This requires having the financial means, which in turn can be done through your purchases. 
  • Transparency - we provide insights into productions. Insights into the use of the auxiliary thaler. 
  •  Future-oriented - with the growth in sales, the salary of the formerly needy should also increase. If the production rate increases, more people will get permanent jobs.
  • Training - Professionals are sought & integrated with the purpose of passing on skills
  • Auxiliary thalers - some of the products have additional auxiliary thalers. That means 1€ per box, bag or wrap will be donated by Barakka Group. This donation goes to orphans, starving, widows or other destitute people who have nothing to do with the production itself. It's another reason to shop at Barakka Group. 
  • In addition to fair payment, the new "Muslim Fair Trade" standards also include, for example, the review of trade relationships with fabrics in production. Human rights activists are in favor of fabrics that may be 2-3€ more expensive than conventional Chinese fabrics. For example, Turkish or Egyptian fabrics like the ones we use are of exceptionally high quality.
  • Of course, fair payment does not increase our profit, but the barakka does. Shopping with us is worthwhile in many ways. Because profit, with us, becomes profitable for many and products can contain more blessings. We would love to produce a lot more ourselves. But that is of course a long and expensive way.

  1. At least 2 needy families benefit from the purchase of Barakka Group.

  2. It is only bought from companies or dealers that are known for their ethical working conditions, their heart for those in need, or the infrastructure development in developing regions.

Current status: 08/24/2022 - after 11 months Barakka Group

 So far we have counted 119 needy people in 11 regions who, through your purchases and with our new "Muslim Fair Trade" standards such as fair payment, have become ex-needy people through job creation. These are areas such as: Germany, Palestine, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Yemen, Burma, Uyghurs, Belgium, Turkey, Jordan, Pakistan.

Statuses of products on Barakka Group:

  • No entry = pure trade / purchase & sale without further background.
  • Import = imported from abroad by Barakka Group.
  • Muslim Fair Trade - The product meets our Muslim Fair Trade standards. 
  • Own production - The product was manufactured by us. 

 

 

What are auxiliary coins

 The Barakka Group auxiliary thalers are available on various products and are indicated by the coin emblem with the golden B.

Depending on the product, the Barakka Group donates €1 or €2 per bag, box, bottle or can purchased.

The needy recipients are widely spread. For example, 1€ per box of shea butter goes to orphans in Africa, or 1€ per Yemen Bakhoor (incense) against the famine in Yemen.
